Properties Of Four Pakistan-Based Terrorists Attached In J&K’s Ramban

Banihal/Jammu, Jul 30 : Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Wednesday attached immovable properties belonging to four local terrorists who are presently operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), an official said. Politics The properties located in Banihal and Khari areas were attached under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), a police spokesman said. He said the attached properties include cultivation rights over 10 kanals of land belonging to terrorist Ghulam Rasool alias “Badshah” of Kundan Khari, worth around Rs 60 lakh; three kanals of inherited land belonging to Abdul Latief Naik alias “Sajjad” of Koot Khari, Banihal, valued around Rs 20 lakh; 11 marlas of inherited land belonging to Abdul Rashid alias “Bashir” of Zinhal, Banihal, valued at approximately Rs 9.25 lakh and two marlas of land belonging to Mushtaq Ahmed of Chareel, Banihal, worth around Rs 1.52 lakh. “The attachment of these immovable properties forms part of sustained campaign to dismantle the support infrastructure of terrorism by depriving terrorists and their associates of benefits of illegally held assets,” the spokesman said. Police reiterated its commitment to taking strict legal action against terrorists, their associates, and all individuals involved in anti-national activities.
