JAMMU, Aug 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended Er. Liyaqat Javid Sheikh Gojar, Assistant Engineer with PMGSY Division Thathri, following his arrest by the CBI’s Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jammu, in a case registered under FIR No. RC0042026A0008.
According to Government Order No. 291-PW(R&B) of 2026, issued on August 14, Sheikh’s suspension is effective from the date of his arrest on July 16, 2026.
During the suspension period, Sheikh will remain attached to the office of the Superintending Engineer, PW(R&B) Circle, Doda-Kishtwar.
He will be entitled to a subsistence allowance equivalent to 50 per cent of his pay and dearness allowance, in accordance with the applicable service rules.
