SRINAGAR, OCT 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and posting 49 IAS and JKAS officers with immediate effect.
The transfers have been made in the interest of administration and are aimed at ensuring effective functioning of various government departments and field-level offices.
The General Administration Department issued the orders through Government Order No. 1612-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated October 7, 2026.
The reshuffle includes officers from both the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS).
The transferred officers have been assigned new responsibilities with immediate effect as part of the government’s latest administrative changes.
