Chandigarh, Oct 11: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said the country's youth are talented and bringing glory to the nation and asserted that if anyone has or is giving the right direction to the youth, it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Congress cannot give right direction to youth. I want to tell the youth that they should search what the situation was during their time before 2014," he said while speaking to reporters in Panchkula after paying obeisance at Shri Mata Mansa Devi temple along with his family.
"If anyone could give them or is giving them the right direction, it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Saini said.
On the opposition INDIA bloc MPs' protest in the national capital against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Saini said, "INDI Alliance does not have any issue left. They want to divert people's attention by telling lies and spreading confusion, without having any real issue."
Attacking the previous Congress-led UPA government, Saini said, "Our youth does not know the situation that prevailed before 2014. People used to get cooking gas cylinders by standing in queue for three days."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed those systemic flaws over the past twelve years and accelerated the nation's progress towards a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India), he said.
"Today, India's name is taken with respect across the globe. The country is shining on the world stage," he said.
Saini said Congress neither had any policy nor intent while governing the country for 55 years.
The chief minister said people are now going to remove them even from the role of the opposition. People have understood that they are not even playing the role of opposition in the right manner, he said.
He also spoke about poll-bound Punjab and said the "people of Punjab have made up their mind to bring BJP to power."
"Modi Yug is coming in Punjab. The person who changed the country, transformed the lives of the poor, and enhanced the country's prestige globally- this is Modi Yug," Saini asserted.
