New Delhi, Sep 12: Spiritual drama “Hanuman Ansh”, based on the life and teachings of revered saint Neem Karoli Baba, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office, according to industry tracking data.
Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film follows Lakshminarayan, a young man who embarks on a spiritual journey after the death of his mother in search of answers about God, life and human suffering.
Set against the backdrop of North India, the story traces his transformation into Neem Karoli Baba, whose teachings on love, compassion and selfless service inspired people across generations.
The film stars Shobhinaw Satya in the lead role, along with Vihaan Shedge, Chandan K Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi, Gulshan Pandey and Bhagvandas, among others.
According to trade tracking website Sacnilk, the film has collected Rs 205.73 crore gross at the domestic box office, while its net collection has crossed Rs 170 crore.
“Hanuman Ansh” initially opened across 250 screens but, following its strong box office performance and growing audience response, its theatrical release has expanded to around 2,000 screens.
Released in cinemas on August 7, the film had a slow start during its first two weeks before gaining momentum through positive word-of-mouth and subsequently recording a strong run at the box office.
