Fire and Fury Corps Chief Reviews Troops’ Operational Readiness in Siachen

LEH/JAMMU, Aug 17: Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Fire and Fury Corps, on Monday visited the Siachen Glacier sector in Ladakh to review the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the high-altitude battlefield.

During the visit, Lt Gen Pande interacted with soldiers and commended their morale, professionalism and resilience while serving in the challenging terrain and extreme weather conditions.

The Leh-based 14 Corps, also known as the Fire and Fury Corps, said the Corps Commander reviewed the operational preparedness of troops and interacted with personnel deployed in the Siachen sector.

Lt Gen Pande urged all ranks to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline and professional excellence.

The visit was aimed at assessing the preparedness of troops and reinforcing the Army's commitment to maintaining operational effectiveness in the strategically important Siachen sector.
