Tiger Shroff Firing Case: All Accused and Their Handlers Will Be Traced, Says CM Fadnavis

MUMBAI, OCT 19: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday assured that everyone involved in the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, including the alleged perpetrators and their handlers, would be identified and brought to justice.

Speaking to reporters in Nagpur, Fadnavis said Mumbai Police had obtained important leads regarding the suspects and expressed confidence that arrests would be made soon. He added that the accused were believed to be operating from outside Maharashtra, possibly from abroad.

The Chief Minister said the police would coordinate with other state agencies and seek assistance from central agencies to track down those involved in the attack and the individuals allegedly directing them.

Fadnavis described the perpetrators as cowards and asserted that the government would not tolerate such acts of violence. He said the police were treating every threat seriously and would ensure that those responsible faced legal action.

Tiger Shroff Escapes Unhurt

The incident occurred on Sunday evening in Mumbai’s Juhu area, where unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire at a vehicle associated with Tiger Shroff. The actor escaped unharmed, while his driver and another person sustained injuries.

Mumbai Police have registered an attempt-to-murder case against three unidentified persons, and the investigation has been transferred to the Crime Branch.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has allegedly claimed responsibility for the attack through a social media post. However, police have not yet verified the authenticity of the claim or officially confirmed the gang’s involvement.

Actor Assured of Security

Fadnavis said he had spoken to Tiger Shroff following the incident and assured him that the matter was being treated with utmost seriousness.

The Chief Minister stated that the police would identify and apprehend the suspects and that appropriate security measures would be taken.

He also defended the Mumbai Police, describing the force as professional and saying it continued to enjoy public confidence, including among members of the film industry.

CM Hits Back at Opposition

Responding to criticism over the state’s law-and-order situation, Fadnavis criticised the Opposition and referred to previous controversies involving security and police administration in Maharashtra.

He cited the 2021 bomb scare outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence, Antilia, and raised questions about the Opposition’s record on law and order.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the government would pursue not only those who allegedly carried out the firing but also the people suspected of directing or supporting the operation.

The investigation remains underway, with police working to establish the motive behind the shooting, verify the claims of responsibility and identify everyone connected to the incident.
