BARAMULLA: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, today interacted with several delegations from Baramulla district and adjoining areas, taking detailed stock of their issues and demands.
The delegations apprised the Minister of various concerns related to roads, drainage, rural development, basic amenities, agriculture and other essential public services, seeking timely intervention for their resolution.
Giving a patient hearing to the delegations, the Minister said that responsive governance and prompt resolution of public grievances remain key priorities of the government. He assured the people that their genuine concerns would be examined and addressed in a time-bound manner.
“Resolution of public issues is prime concern of our government. We are committed to address the genuine concerns of the people and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society,” Javid Dar said.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to accord priority to the issues projected by the delegations and initiate necessary action for speedy redress of the same. He stressed upon the departments to maintain close coordination and adopt a proactive approach for ensuring effective and timely delivery of public services.
He called for regular monitoring of the issues raised by the public and directed the officers to keep the concerned stakeholders informed about the progress made in each case. He emphasised that genuine public grievances should be addressed promptly and that unnecessary delays in resolving issues must be avoided.
The Minister further urged the departments to strengthen coordination at all levels and ensure better utilisation of available resources for meeting the needs of the people. He said that responsive governance and efficient public service delivery should remain a priority of the administration.
