Rahul Misleading Students on NEET, Habitual Offender Against India: Tarun Chugh

New Delhi, Jul 30: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Thursday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of misleading students over the NEET issue for political gain instead of addressing their concerns, and alleged that he was a “habitual offender” who repeatedly made anti-India and anti-Sanatan remarks. His comments came a day after Rahul Gandhi alleged in the Lok Sabha that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was responsible for police excesses and firing on student protesters during demonstrations over the NEET paper leak. Speaking to reporters in Parliament, Chugh claimed Gandhi was exploiting students’ concerns for political purposes and had failed to offer any constructive solutions to the issue. The BJP leader also alleged that Gandhi repeatedly engaged in anti-India propaganda and made objectionable remarks against Sanatan Dharma both in India and abroad, asserting that he should apologise to the nation. Separately, Chugh welcomed the Uttar Pradesh Government’s decision to rename Bhadohi as Sant Ravidas Nagar, describing it as a fitting tribute to Bhakti saint Guru Ravidas. He praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s announcement to establish educational institutions and name roads after Guru Ravidas across the state. Targeting the Samajwadi Party, Chugh alleged that the previous Akhilesh Yadav government had removed the name Sant Ravidas Nagar, calling it an insult to the saint and his followers. He said restoring the name honours the legacy of Guru Ravidas and recognises his contribution to social harmony and equality.
