Dewas (Madhya Pradesh), September 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that service has remained a guiding principle of the BJP's governance and values, asserting that the party would not deviate from the path of service.
Modi made the remarks during a video conference with participants of the Seva Sankalp Yatra, which is being held as part of the wider Seva Sankalp Abhiyan marking his 76th birthday and 25 years in public life.
The participants are travelling between Vadnagar in Gujarat and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, with the yatra involving youth from different states. The initiative includes community outreach and service-oriented activities along the route.
Speaking to the participants, Modi said that irrespective of how much political power is gained, the commitment to public service should remain unchanged.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan began on September 17 and is scheduled to continue through October 17, with a series of programmes focused on public outreach, community service and youth participation.
The Seva Yatra participants are currently in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district, where they have been engaging with local communities and taking part in various service-related activities during their journey.
