New Delhi, Sept 9: A graphics-heavy artificial intelligence-generated video released by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), claiming to depict Pakistan's military achievements during Operation Sindoor, has drawn widespread ridicule and trolling on social media.
Titled Fizaon K Pasbaan — Protectors of the Skies, the video makes several claims about damage allegedly inflicted on Indian military and strategic targets during the 2025 India-Pakistan conflict.
The video claims that Pakistan damaged 32 Indian Air Force bases, destroyed S-400 air defence systems and struck eight Indian aircraft. It also portrays alleged attacks on India's power grid and fuel supply chain, besides showing major targets including Parliament and INS Vikrant.
However, the video provides no photographic or other verifiable evidence to substantiate the claims, with several social media users questioning the authenticity of the material and mocking its graphics and spelling errors.
A fact-check by NDTV reportedly questioned the claims made in the video, saying figures such as the alleged destruction of eight Indian aircraft were unsupported. India Today also described it as an imaginative AI-generated video and questioned the absence of before-and-after images to support the claims.
The video has since gone viral on social media, with users sharing memes and sarcastic comments. Several users also pointed out that the word "grid" was misspelled as "gird" in the video.
One X user wrote, "Now we know why Pakistan kept losing wars. They didn't have AI back then," while another joked that Pakistan's defence budget appeared to have gone into a "Canva Pro subscription."
Operation Sindoor was launched by India on May 7, 2025, following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 people.
