LG Sinha Greets CRPF Personnel on Raising Day, Hails Their Courage and Sacrifice
SRINAGAR, Jul 27: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday extended greetings to serving and retired personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and their families on the occasion of the Force’s Raising Day, lauding their exemplary service, courage and supreme sacrifice in safeguarding the nation’s security. In a message shared on his official X handle, the Lieutenant Governor said the CRPF has remained at the forefront of maintaining internal security with unwavering dedication, professionalism and unmatched bravery. Paying tribute to the Force, Sinha commended CRPF personnel for their valour, commitment and selfless service, saying their sacrifices continue to inspire the nation. He also expressed gratitude for their tireless efforts in combating terrorism, maintaining law and order, ensuring peaceful elections, responding to disasters and serving in some of the country’s most challenging environments. Established on July 27, 1950, the CRPF is India’s largest Central Armed Police Force and plays a pivotal role in counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency operations and internal security, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir and other sensitive regions across the country.
