Kejriwal Seeks PM Modi’s Meeting Over E20 Petrol, Demands Choice Of Pure Petrol At Fuel Stations
New Delhi, July 14: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a meeting to discuss concerns over E20 petrol, urging the government to provide consumers with an option to choose between pure petrol and ethanol-blended fuel at petrol stations. In his letter to the Prime Minister, Kejriwal said he wanted to highlight technical concerns and public feedback regarding E20 petrol during the proposed meeting. Kejriwal said consumers should have the freedom to choose between regular petrol and E20 petrol, stating that those who prefer pure petrol should also be provided that option. He also demanded a reduction in the price of E20 petrol, arguing that ethanol-blended fuel offers lower mileage compared to conventional petrol. The AAP leader said the party has launched an online petition to collect public feedback on issues related to E20 petrol, including mileage concerns, and that the responses would be submitted to the Prime Minister. He also appealed to party workers and others to visit petrol pumps, interact with consumers and share their experiences through social media platforms.
