JAMMU, Sep 5: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K unit staged a strong protest against the remarks of bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut comparing country’s financial capital Maharashtra with the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), demanding filing of a sedition case against her.
Dozens of Shiv Sainiks under the leadership of Party President Manish Sahni assembled outside Party Office and raised slogans against the bollywood actor for her anti-Mumbai remarks. They also torched Kangana’s posters and demanded strict legal action.
The protesting Shiv Sainiks described Kangana Ranaut’s statements as shameful and degrading the country’s image.
Sahni slammed Kangana for his politically motivated statement. He said that if Kangana compares Maharashtra to PoK and Taliban, than what’s her views on Kashmir.
Sahni asserted that Kangana should tell when she went to PoK and Taliban that today comparing Mumbai like PoK. He asked Kangana to think twice before giving any statement on the country’s financial capital.
Sahni also asked Kanagan to respect the sentiments of people of Maharashtra before giving any statements as without their support and cooperation it was not possible for her to gain success.
Among those who joined the protest include President Women Wing Minakshi Chhibber, Geeta Rani, Sheetal Rajput, Monia Dutta, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, working President Ashwini Gupta, Secretary Raj Singh, Rajesh Handa, Sanjeev Sudan, Raju Salaria, Kamla Devi, Garo Devi, Pyro Rani were present. .
