Jammu: CRPF has celebrated its 82nd Raising day with full zeal and following all social distancing norms and protocol. During the event, Sh Sarabjit Singh took guard of honour at “Shaheed Samarak” as the tradition of the Force and pay homage to martyrs of the force. Sh S P Singh DIGP Group Centre, Bantalab also visited the Quarter guard. All Officers and men pay homage to the martyrs. At the same time, a ceremony was organized to name the road in the Shaheed Karmi. During this program, “Shaheed Sipahi Joginder Kumar” of Gram-Ranjan, Thana-Gharota, District-Jammu, who came under the jurisdiction of Group Center Bantalab, who was formerly posted in the 2nd Battalion, Dantewada (Chhattisgarh) took martyrdom while fighting with Maoists.During the event “Veer Nari” of Shaheed soldier Joginder Kumar, Mrs. Ekta Devi, present as the chief guest, son Tarun Kumar and Mataji Mrs. Chanchala Devi were gifted and honored by Shri SP Singh, DIGP,GC Bantalab.
A lecture on “History of CRPF and Role of CRPF” was delivered to the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya living in the campu. For the Central Reserve Police Force, the “CRPF Raising Day” is a day of special importance and glory. All the above programs were successfully conducted under the leadership of Shri SP Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre Bantalab. Shri Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Deputy Commandant, Shri Dinesh Kumar, Deputy Commandant, Group Centre, Bantalab and other Gazetted Officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans are also made significant contribution to organise the function.
