Leh, July: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called upon by founding member, HIAL Sonam Wangchuk and a delegation of Moravian Church, Leh at Raj Niwas.
During the interaction, Sonam Wangchuk discussed with the Lt. Governor the best practices of energy utilization in Ladakh and the prospects of building future Ladakh using the traditional wisdom of energy saving in tandem with technological advances in energy management. Issues related to water resources and the education system in Ladakh were also discussed.
The delegation of Moravian Church, Leh comprising the Vice Chairman, David Sonam and Board Member, Elihud George represented a request to the Lt. Governor to provide funds for the restoration of the existing Leh Old Church which is 150 years old. The Lt. Governor gave assurance to consider their request under a relevant programme.
