JAMMU, July 2: Keeping in view the upcoming religious events like the Holy Shravan Month in which Lord Shiva is worshipped and Shri Amarnath ji Yatra takes place, as well as the Guru Purnima, Tourism Federation of Jammu, led by General Secretary TFJ Raman Suri, Sd. Amrik Singh, B.B. Kotwal, Tapan Dubey, Gaurav Gupta, has today started tea, coffee and hot chocolate langar facility for the people of Jammu at Lakhdata Bazar. This Langar will be on rotational basis and automatic tea and coffee vending machines will be moved to other bazars every third day to help people sip hot beverages and relax.
During this COVID-19 crisis, as India is Unlocking gradually, thus utmost importance is being given to following the government advisories and guidelines. Keeping hygiene on the forefront of this Langar Seva, the packets of tea, coffee and hot chocolate were provided by Nestle Professionals, Nestle India Limited, for which Automatic vending machine was installed by TFJ at Lakhdata Bazar, where people were served and will continue to be served tea, coffee and hot chocolate while adopting government advisories.
Speaking on the occasion, Raman Suri said that TFJ is well aware of the prevailing situation in the world due to coronavirus. In Jammu, every year devotees celebrate the Holy Shravan Month as well as Guru Poornima with great devotion and enthusiasm and since people are preferring more of hot beverages to relieve and relax themselves and there are no or minimal facilities for the same available during the COVID-19 crisis, thus TFJ decided to organise the Langar seva especially for this purpose.
Raman Suri said that this facility of langar will continue throughout the rainy season to facilitate the people. He said, automatic vending machine has been installed and will operate with complete hygiene and there will be use of disposable cups only. Prominent persons of Lakhdata Bazar who graced the occasion were Vipan Verma, Sorab Suri, Surinder Mahajan, Rishu Kawatra, Subash Gupta, Sham Suri, Kapil Pachnanda, Ankit Mahajan, Mayank Jain, Akanksh Gupta and many others.
Raman Suri, Sd. Amrik Singh, Tapan Dubey, while giving their best wishes to the people for the upcoming religious festivals, asked people to enjoy the langar seva as well as the festivals by cautiously adhering to the government advisories and guidelines like using face covers, hand sanitisers, washing hands for twenty seconds and maintaining social distancing.
