126 COVID patients cured and discharged in UT Ladakh; Active case drop to 657

Leh, June 24: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, informed that seven patients in home isolation were discharged from Leh district today. 66 patients in home isolation, 16 patients from COVID hospital Kargil and 37 patients from COVID Care Centre (CCC) were discharged today from Kargil district after their negative reports were received by the Health department Leh yesterday.

With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has dropped to 657; 154 in Leh district and 503 in Kargil district and further informed that the condition of all 657 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.

The bulletin further informs that the Health department Leh received 174 sample reports from PGIMER Chandigarh. Out of the total sample reports, 80 negative reports are of Leh district and 05 samples need retesting. 87 negative sample reports are of Kargil district and 02 samples need retesting.

Health department today sent 145 samples to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing. Out of the total samples, 41 samples are of Leh district and 104 samples are of Kargil district.

59 passengers and 89 drivers and helpers of 56 trucks/tankers and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. The vehicles were also sanitised.

The Health workers at Upshi check post screened 66 passengers yesterday, including drivers and helpers who came to Leh in 09 tankers, 23 trucks and 03 light vehicles.
