Srinagar, June 21: One more militant has been killed in a gunfight in Srinagar on Sunday.
Police sources told that one more militant has been killed in the gunfight in Zoonimar area Srinagar, taking death toll of militants to two. “The gunfight is on, “they said.
The gunfight broke out this morning after forces launched a cordon and search operation by joint troops of CRPF Valley QAT (Quick Action Team), 115 Bn, 28Bn CRPF and J&K Police after getting inputs about presence of militants.
This is the second encounter in Srinagar in recent time. Earlier, top Hizb commander Junaid Sehrai was killed in a gunfight in the city.
Meanwhile, mobile internet services have been suspended in Srinagar as a precautionary measure —(KNO)
