KUPWARA : Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, who is also holding charge of Programme Officer, ICDS Kupwara today convened a meeting of CDPOs and Supervisors of the department to review pace and progress.
The meeting was informed that as many as 80, 490 children of 6 months to 6 years age including pregnant and lactating mothers are enrolled at 2320 Anganwari Centers functioning across the district.
It was further added that during the lockdown period, 64,111 children and 13,011 pregnant and lactating mothers have been provided ‘take home ration’ worth Rs 1.97 crore which include channa, moong, green peas, mustard oil, dara oil, haldi, salt, soji, sugar and biscuits besides 6000 quintal rice has also been provided to these beneficiaries.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned to start the process of procurement of nutrition for Anganwari Centers as per already issued Decentralized Policy for Procurement of Supplementary Nutrition under ICDS for rural and urban areas.
He also directed them to revive the work culture of the Anganwari Centers and keep all prescribed registers updated month wise.
ADC also asked CDPOs to identify 5 Anganwari Centers randomly in each project which can be looked into as model Anganwari Centers.
Among others, CDPO langate Mohammad Ayoob Wani was present in the meeting.
