Rajouri, June 02: Authorities on Monday ‘sealed’ a government hospital and a private nursing home in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district after a man admitted at the twin places was tested positive for Coronavirus. The authorities have also imposed tight curbs in the entire area.

District Magistrate, Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh told, that a man hailing from a village of Sunderbani has been tested positive.

“He was taken to Sunderbani hospital and then to a private nursing home in the town two days back after some health related issues. He was later taken to GMC Jammu where his samples were taken and was tested positive for Coronavirus,” DM Rajouri said.

He added that as the patient visited Sunderbani Sub District Hospital (SDH) as well as a private hospital, both the health institutions have been ‘sealed’ for sanitization. “We are going to sanitize both the health institutions and doctors in the government hospital shall be quarantined whereas replacement of doctors shall also be provided by tomorrow,” DM said.

He further divulged that entire Sunderbani town and peripheral areas have been put in tight restrictions. “Man is not having any travel history and now we are trying to ascertain the possible source of Coronavirus transmission,” DM informed.
