PRESS TRUST OF INDIA| New Delhi, Dec 13 |15: In an astounding case of forgery, over 20,000 students have reportedly cleared the B.ED exams while only 12,822 were enrolled as regular students from B.R Ambedkar University in Agra. “The case is of the 2013-14 session of the Ambedkar University when Gorakhpur’s Din Dayal Upadhyay College was given the responsibility for B.ED admissions. Around 13349 students came into the university through counseling process and were allotted in 190 colleges affiliated with Ambedkar University,” University PRO, Professor Manoj Srivastava told ANI. “But when the B.ED examinations were announced, the number of students that applied was much higher, roughly around 5000. At that point of time, the Chancellor had denied them from giving the exams,” he added. He asserted that 20,097 students had taken the exams which included only 12,822 students which were there in counseling. “It is now to be examined whether the High Court’s order is applicable to all or not. It is the decision of the Chancellor that only result of only those candidates would be announced who got admitted through counseling,” he said.
