District Administration Pulwama declares result of COVID Painting Competition

PULWAMA, May 13 : District Adminstation Pulwama declares result of online painting competition organised in view of COVID-19 pandemic. The Online Painting Competition was organised to express solidarity and appreciate the efforts being put in place globally by the healthcare professional and frontline workers of key departments who have been at forefront in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The competition witnessed overwhelming response as 735 paintings were received and subsequently scrutinized by an expert committee constituted in this regard.

As hundreds of primary school and upper primary school children exhibited their artistic skills by submitting paintings online , on the selected themes of the competition which were contextualized regarding the valiant efforts of health care professionals and frontline workers in COVID-19 pandemic along with promoting community sensitivity, community participation , volunteerism ;mindful social distancing and maintenance of proper hygiene.

While speaking on the occasion Deputy commissioner Pulwama said that the initiative witnessed a tremendous response and the best conceived paintings will form part of Corona Art Gallery in DC office complex Pulwama.

He added that Administration shall get the artistically drawn Paintings framed would be exhibited at prominent places like Hospitals, Govt Offices and at Public places with an aim to encourage all Corona Warriors .

An expert committee constituted for selecting best paintings scrutinizing the all 735 paintings and selected 3 best paintings and 10 consolation prizes in both categories (Primary and Upper Primary students).

Top three positions in primary school category were bagged by Mehren jan of Lyceium International school, Mir Huzaifa of Global vision school Tral and Hamza Younis of Lyceium International School.

Whereas Rutba Hamid of Solace international school, Aadil Ahmad sheikh of Govt UPS Mandoora Tral and Lubna wali of Govt UPS Panner got Top three positions in Upper Primary.
