Srinagar May 08 : The Registration Front (TRF) is not a new organization, it is in a way the new name of Lashkar-e-Taiba. This claim was made by Inspector General of Police (IG) Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar, anticipating a spurt in terrorist activities in the Valley in the coming days. He said that terrorist activities often increase in Pak Ramadan.
So far this year, security forces have killed 64 terrorists, including top commanders in the Valley. He said that TRF is just new name in Kashmir. Actually Lashkar has changed his name. All the terrorists we have killed or captured in TRF Kashmir were on the list of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. Now Hijb boys are also being taken in TRF. TRF District Commander Asif has been killed in an encounter recently. He was a resident of Kakpora Pulwama and was in Lashkar.
Not only this, the TRF also claimed responsibility for the attack on CRPF personnel in Handwara. But that too included Lashkar terrorists. We have identified two terrorists involved in the attack. They are on our radar.
Apart from this, social media is also being monitored. We have also discontinued the telegram channel being used by TRF. On the recent spurt in terrorist activities, he said that if terrorist violence continues in Kashmir for the last 30 years, terrorist attacks increase in the month of Pak Ramadan. We understand the intentions of the terrorists very well.
Along with speeding up of counter-insurgency operations, security has also been increased in various areas. The situation in the valley will be fast normal: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh said that after the death of terrorist Naiku, the situation in South Kashmir will be normal. This is evident in the support of the people to maintain peace in the Valley. The terrorists are currently looking to attack the security forces and common people. After mounting pressure in South Kashmir, terrorists are moving towards North Kashmir, but they will not survive there either. He said that the hero of this campaign is our DIG South Kashmir Range Atul Kumar Goel, SSP Avantipore and his companions. The cooperation of CRPF, SSB and Army is of great merit.
The way Naiku was caught earlier and later collected information about Naiku. This time we did not give him a chance to escape. We are constantly monitoring mischievous elements. Naughty elements are active on social media who are trying to provoke people here. I salute Shaheed Sub Inspector Sagir Ahmed Pathan. He was the first to discover the presence of terrorists in Chhanjmula and laid siege.
Terrorists now want to build a base in North Kashmir after the increasing pressure of security forces in South Kashmir and the killing of most of the commanders. He will also be killed there. A mechanism has been developed to monitor the activities of active militants in Kashmir, continuously tracking them and expediting operations against them.
