Srinagar, Apr 10: 15 persons were arrested in Tankipora Srinagar Masjid for offering Friday congregational prayers.

As per reports reaching to JK News Observer that SDPO Shaheedjung along with his team visits Srinagar areas were they found 15 persons offering Friday prayer in Tankipora Masjid has been arrested by the police team on the directions of SDPO as preventive measures to prevent from spread of Coronavirus.

An official said despite repeated requests of Administration for the protection of people to offer Friday Prayers at home and maintain social distance instead this these people were found violating government orders by defying lockdown strict action will be taken against those who try to defying lockdown in this epidemic situation across the city.

Meanwhile SDPO Shaheedjung appeals people to stay indoors and offer prayers at homes.
