Leh: In order to review the preparedness in view of the various containment measures regarding COVID-19, a meeting was held today at PHQ Ladakh which was chaired by the Inspector General of Police, Union Territory of Ladakh Satish Khandare.
While reviewing the situation, IGP Ladakh stressed on the officers to ensure every possible step to check the further escalation and spread of the pandemic. He further directed the officers to maintain medical precautions at all the establishments, ensure strict survey/verification of labourers and strict enforcement of Section 144 as imposed by District Administration.
Moreover, UTDRF was directed to conduct awareness campaigns time to time. Khandare further reiterated that more patrolling and check points should be deployed which will be made more stringent to prevent any unnecessary gathering and unnecessary movement.
Besides, various issues relating to the containment plan were discussed in detail. The meeting was attended by SSP Leh, Sargun Shukla, AIG Personnel /Commandant IR-25th Bn Stanzin Nurboo, AIG Provisions/SP Traffic, Sonam Dechan, SP CID Leh, Stanzin Losal besides other officers of District Leh and the Police Headquarters.
