Jammu: In order to make general public aware about the impact of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), BJP Jammu West organized an awareness program in which masks and sanitizers were distributed amongst general public and personnel from Armed forces. Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) himself distributed masks and sanitizers amongst people and asked them to take strict precautions in order to avoid the impact of COVID-19. The program was organized under the leadership of District President Munish Khajuria. District General Secretaries Rajesh Gupta & Karan Sharma, Corporator Dr Akshay Sharma and others also accompanied the Former Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that India is amongst those countries of the world where the impact of Corona Virus is less and taking this in mind we all have to be aware and most importantly we all need to take precautionary measures while doing anything. He said that we all need to wash our hands frequently and must use alcohol based sanitizers and must see to it that we do not touch our hands on face which increases the probability of transferring virus. He stated that global leaders from around the world have adopted “Namaste” instead of shaking hands and we must also do the same to halt the impact of any kind of virus from one person to another. He also stated that the only treatment of this virus till date is to avoid contact with others and keep ourselves clean.
Munish Khajuria said that BJP Jammu West in coming days will reach out to masses at grass root level covering all booths to make people aware of this deadly disease and how people must take care of themselves and their families to stop the spread of COVID-19.
