Jammu : We Care Welfare Society (WCWS) organises free eye, Cataract surgeries at Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ved Mandir , Amphalla, Jammu. The patients of Kotmaira and surrounding villages of Khour block were screened out for cataract and other eye problem surgeries from the free eye and general health- check up camp, which were held there on February 23. These patients were invited one day in advance , for making necessary tests required for surgery. Free lodging & boarding were arranged .
WCWS is grateful to all management committee members President Chaman Lal Gupta, General Secretary Atma Saroop Gupta, Medical Suptd Romesh Gupta for allowing free eye surgeries at this hospital. All the patients which required surgery , were operated upon and medicines and spectacles were provided free of cost for proper post operative care.
Dr Debapriya Chatterjee along with Dr Bijander Kour , both Ophthalmologists, did surgeries & we are highly thankful to her for undertaking all these cataract operations free of cost for the benefit of these under privileged people from far off border area.
