Doda: District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers to have a first-hand appraisal of works completed, expenditure incurred and targets achieved taken in hand by line departments and agencies under the district Capex budget for the year 2019-20.
It was informed that an amount of Rs. 128.78 crore was approved under district Capex budget under state and central components after reorganization of J&K as UT. “Out of the total outlay, an amount of Rs. 42.80 crore was made available for expenditure on the works, projects and other welfare schemes in the district through the departments of Education, Health, R&B, PHE, I&FC, ICDS, RDD and others,’ the meeting was told .
An amount of Rs. 28.39 crore has been expended till March-11 on key sectors, thus achieving the target of 66 percent, the meeting said.
Taking strong note of the slow pace in achieving the set targets, the DDC directed all concerned to make extra efforts to achieve the targets within the given timeframe.
He asked the departments to expedite the work on incomplete projects across the district to complete these by the end of current financial year.
The meeting was attended by district heads of all line departments.
