Jammu Mar 12 : Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) has postponed its ambitious programme to reach up to masses by conducting Public Darbars at every Mandal although it was advised to avoid unnecessary panic while taking all the preventive measures.
Public Darbars by BJP scheduled to be initiated from 15th of March to 22nd of March at every single Mandal throughout the region of Jammu were to be addressed by MPs, former Ministers, former MLAs, former MLCs and senior leaders of the party. The development has been made in view of the fast and unrelenting spread of Corona Virus and recent find of new positive cases in the Union Territory (UT) of J&K.
This revelation was done by J&K BJP General Secretary & Former Minister Sunil Sharma, accompanied by J&K BJP General Secretaries Vibodh Gupta(former MLC) and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (former Minister) in a Press Conference organized at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Sunil Sharma, while addressing the media persons said that in wake of the present circumstances, BJP has decided to keep a hold on its all public programmes keeping in view the public health above all and as such the Public Darbars by BJP have been postponed for now till the situation improves and the spread of Virus is checked.
Sunil Sharma, said that for the decision, advice issued by various health agencies at the level of UT as well as the National level have been taken into consideration. He also mentioned that recently World Health Organization (WHO) has declared it as Pandemic as it has been spreading in multiple countries around the world at the same time at the alarming level.
Sunil Sharma, said that BJP as a responsible public organization and leading political party of the Nation, it has become duty of party to aware the people about its spread and hence BJP itself will avoid any such gatherings in which large gathering of people can be done. He requested general masses to take all essential measures to restrict the spread of disease. He also requested the masses to avoid unnecessary gatherings for any reason, unnecessary travels and take all other preventive measures as per health advisory issued by the local health department. He also appreciated various steps taken by the J&K UT administration for taking essential measures to check the spread of diseases and requested the masses to cooperate the health agencies in controlling the spread of disease.
