Jammu: Harmony Cultural Foundation, one of the reputed organization in the field of Art & Culture in association with Harmony India organized Harmony India Awards 2020 and Musical Program at India International Centre ,Delhi on Saturday, the7th Mar, 2020, felicitating Eminent & Creative Personalities, Artists, Musicians, Social Activists ,Theatre & Visual Artists, Journalists etc. of the J&K state and nation.

Program started with the deep prajvalan by Ms. Nirupama Kotru (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture) along the president of the foundation Romesh Zadoo, Sanjay Ganjoo, BL Kaul ‘Deep’ and Saurabh Zadoo (Director Harmony India),

With past year’s huge successful album releases, Harmony India had a special release of this year’s life time achievement Awardee Late Dinanath Nadim’s “SounWattan Posh Hue” which was performed and presented live by Indian Harmonies Choir composed and conducted by Singer-Music Composer Saurabh Zadoo. Efforts to preserve and promote rich legacy and cultural heritage of the Kashmir’s Sahitya was applauded and praised by the audience.

With the 6th edition of the program, two new upcoming talented singers Vanshika Bhat and Reetika Raina of J&K state were introduced on the national level platform and gave debut with their solo performances which were highly appreciated. Second part of the program started with the Ghazalgayaki, performed in unique combination of traditional and contemporary style by Saurabh Zadoo keeping the intricacies aligned with the Indian traditional Ang of Gayaki followed by melodious voice of Dr. Radhika Chopra who also happens to be one of the ShreshthaSamman Awardee of the evening.

‘Life time achievement award’ for this year was conferred posthumously upon Late Dinanath ‘Nadim’, the legendary poet of J&K State for his outstanding contribution in the field of Kashmiri Literature and Language.

ShresthaSamman was conferred posthumously upon Late P. L. Handoo for his immense contribution in the field of Monologue and Comedy.

‘ShresthaSamman’ was conferred upon Dr. Agnishekhar for his contribution in the field of Literature.

ShresthaSamman was conferred upon Sushil Pandit for his contribution in the field of Social Activism.

ShresthaSamman was conferred upon Dr. Meem Zafar for his contribution in the field of Culture & Religious Studies,

ShresthaSamman was conferred upon Dr. Radhika Chopra for her contribution in the field of Ghazal Gayaki,

ShresthaSamman was conferred upon Dr. Aziz Hajini for his contribution in the field of Art & Culture,

The Samman is given in recognition of the outstanding contribution by personalities in their respective fields.

‘State Icon Award’ was conferred upon Anil Bhat in the field of Journalism, Kuldeep Saproo in the field of Music, Vinay Raina in the field of Acting, and Kusum Tikoo in the field of Anchoring & Acting.

‘Community Icon Award’ was conferred upon King C Bharti in the field of Social activism & Journalism and Jatinder Kaw for community services.

‘YuvaPuraskar’ was conferred upon AbhinavTalashi, for KP Startups, Kapil Krishan Mattoo for Film Production and Pranav Dhar in the field of Sports.
