Doda 08 : With the coordination of CEO Doda, an event on the eve of International Women’s Day 2020 was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm today in Govt. Girls HSS Doda. Respected Principal Mrs. Shahida Khan started the event with her words on women empowerment. On the occasion, ADDC Doda Mr. Kishori Lal Sharma, Joint Director (D.K.R) Education Mr. Roshan Lal Sharma, CEO Doda Mr. Tariq Khwaja, Incharge DIET Principal Mr. Sudesh Raina was present. Various other eminent personalities who were guest speakers & are especially working for the Women Empowerment from various NGOs and department were present namely Mrs. Meenakshi Raina (Distt. Coordinator Child Line Project Doda), Dr. Rahat (Consultant Homoeopathic Physician & State Secretary Work For Others trust), Miss Ruhana Anjum ( from Sakhi; One Stop Centre For Women, Doda).
Teachers from the institute also gave their remarkable and valuable thoughts over the topic.
Others who were Mrs. Sadaf (Counselor, Distt. Coordinator Child Line Project, Doda), Miss Saniya Khan & Humerah Balwan (Distt. Coordinators, Mahila Shakti Kendra), Mrs. Heena Wani, Mrs. Shamshada Begum & few others from Sakhi, One Stop Centre Doda.
Mr. Om Prakash hosted the whole programme and didnot left an inch untouched to make the event successful. Other students from the Govt. GHSS Doda presented many words over the topic and presented various cultural items which entertained the audience.
Students also presented a skit over the importance of parents which touched many hearts and made many emotional.
The hard work of the entire team from the school to make this event successful was clearly visible in very short span of time.
At last, Dignitaries spoke about the various points over the Women Empowerment and need & steps to contribute in the same. Also Mr. Roshan Lal shared the various steps taken by the govt in empowering the women esp in the distt.doda.
