Jammu | 10-Feb: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned senior Jammu and Kashmir Congress leader Mohammad Saroori for questioning in connection with terror cases in Kishtwar.
Saroori is the state Congress vice president and a former Jammu and Kashmir minister. His brother was among those named for Hizbul Mujahideen links.
In a case regarding violence and arson that took place on August 9, 2013 in Kishtwar, name of Saroori had surfaced, sources have said.
Saroori is a reportedly a close aide of Ghulam Nabi Azad.
All four major terror strikes in Kishtwar during the past one year were handed over to the NIA last year. These included the killing of prominent Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Singh Kishtwar.
