New Delhi, Dec 04, TEN Network | A day after Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the National Register of Citizens (NRC) will be implemented across India, Union Home Minister and BJP president Amit Shah reiterated the statement in poll-bound Jharkhand.
“Ye Rahul baba kehte hain ki NRC kyun la rahe ho? Ghuspetiyon ko kyun nikal rahe ho? Kahan jaenge,kya kahenge? Kyun bhai aapke chachere bhai lagte hain kya?2024 ke pehle desh se ek-ek ghuspetiyon ko chun-chun kar nikalne ka kaam BJP sarkar karne wali hai (Rahul baba questions the need to introduce NRC? (Why do you want to expel infiltrators? Where will they go and what will they eat? Why (Rahul)! are they your cousins? Before 2024 the BJP government chuck each and every infiltrator out of the country),” the Union Home Minister said while addressing a rally in Jharkhand’s Chakradharpur.
The BJP president while addressing the rally asked the people to choose between Naxalism or development as they cast their votes during the remaining four phases of polling for Jharkhand Assembly.
Shah endorsed Chief Minister Raghubar Das who is seeking re-election and said the BJP leader has worked hard to eradicate Naxalism from the region.
“All infiltrators will be thrown out from the country by 2024 by implementing NRC. Whether people of Jharkhand want to throw out infiltrators, each and every infiltrator will be thrown out. It is a BJP government led by Narendra Modi and we will implement the NRC,” Shah said.
The Home Minister first made the claim while speaking in Parliament on November 20 when he made it clear that the exercise, first carried out in Assam this year, will be repeated in rest of the country. (TN)
