Jammu: ABVP seeks public help in support of their 44 point memorandum

Jammu, Nov 20, TEN Network | In a pressnote issued by  Deepak Gupta ABVP State Secretary J-K has mentioned that the society is witnessing a movement for the cause of future of the students and society as a whole. He said that the movement started 6 months back when a memorandum for upgrading infrastructure of colleges and roll back semester system memorandum was submitted to the higher official of Education Department. He said that the 53 new college have started just for the name sake in Jammu and Kashmir and no section of the society has been able to avail the benefit of these new institutions.

He said with the 44 point memorandum ABVP is going to meet different groups , civil society representative, pressure groups, political leaders to take the disparities in education sector at the grass root level. He said when UIET was taken away from jammu university by government order different political parties, social groups, elected representative supported ABVP movement and we were able to reverse back the
cabinet decision on UIET.

He said more extensive support will be called for in this movement as the beneficiary is going to be the public as a whole and they must come in support of abvp for this 44 point memorandum. He appealed all the groups, organization to support in this movement for bringing positive change in the education sector.

He warned the government that by taking a shelter of other important engagement the government cannot take out it’s responsibility from the education sector and new opportunities of employment for the youth, Lt. Governor have to spare some time for the students community and look for their issue redressal .

He also said that government has not yet taken any decision on Lathi Charge on ABVP karykartas on 13th of November in Jammu , which will also be raised in public forum now.
