RAMBAN OCTOBER 04: District Development Commissioner Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat directed the construction companies to formulate a comprehensive road maintenance action plan to avoid inconveniences to commuters on national highway.

 Chairing a joint meeting of district administration officers and representatives of construction agencies working on highway four laning project, the DC reviewed the pace of work and discussed the issues confronting the execution of the work.

        Referring to the dilapidated condition of NH-1A, DDC asked the company representatives to   construct crash barriers, protection walls, drainages    alongside highway in to maintain free flow of traffic.

He directed the companies to station adequate machineries at all sliding prone areas and   submit the list of machinery being used in construction work along the national highway.

Acknowledging the importance of prestigious   project, the DDC assured full cooperation of district administration in removing all bottlenecks on National Highway and other construction sites. He   passed on directions to concerned departments for timely action.
