“Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign”, aimed towards bringing development in the remote areas of Poonch district was organised at Army Goodwill School, Potha in Poonch district.
The aim of the campaign was to educate students/ youth and locals to accomplish the vision of a clean and serene Bharat. The campaign was structured on the theme of “Hygiene and Cleanliness”. The event included dissemination of policies of Government required to be enforced with comprehensive rural sanitation programme.
The event was conducted at the Army Goodwill School, Potha and was attended by a large number of students, teachers and villagers from Potha and adjoining villages. The gathering was made aware about the ongoing nationwide cleanliness campaign and was educated about the importance to improve the cleanliness and hygiene standards in their lives and surroundings.
Various methods of waste disposal were discussed during the interactive session. People were made aware of the incentive schemes provided by the government at various levels for maintaining sanitation and a clean environment. The participants pledged to make their living environment clean.
