UDHAMPUR OCTOBER 04: Government Degree College for Women (GDCW) hosted Inter College Symposium on the topic “Characterization and Management of Solid Waste at Household level” here on the college campus.
Around 12 students from different colleges of Jammu division participated in the Symposium organized by Department of Environmental Sciences in collaboration with J & K Science and Technology District Innovation Council.
HOD Environmental Sciences, Navita Sharma presented welcome address.
Aakriti Sharma of GDCW, Udhampur clinched Ist position while Muskan Choudhary of GDC, RS Pura and Shazia Manhas of Bhaskar Degree College, Udhampur bagged 2nd & 3rd position respectively.
Addressing the participants, Principal of the college Dr. Chander Shekhar enlightened the students about important aspects of Waste Management.
Among others present were Prof.Esha Abrol (GDC RS Pura), Prof. ShalluBhalwal (GDC Jindrah) and Prof. Tania Mahajan (GDC Udhampur) were the jury members of the program.
The formal vote of thanks was presented by Radhika Kumari.
