SAMBA, OCTOBER 03: District Election Officer (DEO), Samba, Sushma Chauhan reviewed the arrangements being put in place by the District Administration for the smooth conduct of upcoming Municipal Elections in a meeting here today.
The DEO asked the designated officers to make coordinated efforts and directed them to follow the timeline designated against polls related activities and ensure timely response of any information.
A detailed discussion was held on various issues pertaining to requirement of manpower, randomization, communication plan, expenditure monitoring, material management and transport plan besides security arrangements, law and order issues, enforcement of Modal Code of Conduct, functioning of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates and Observers.
Nodal Officer for District Security Plan gave a detailed briefing about the security plan envisaged for incident free election process.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Pankaj Magotra , Additional SP Faisal Qureshi, ADC Dr Arun Manhas, ACR Kulbhushan Khajuria, Dy DEO Khalid Hussain, ACD Aijaz Qaiser besides other Nodal officers.
