SHOPIAN SEPTEMBER 28: District Development Commissioner Shopian, Dr Owais Ahmed, today reviewed the functioning of Rural Development Department in Shopian District.
The DDC reviewed progress made under MGNREGA, PMAY, SBM and works taken up under 14th FC. He pressed on time bound completion of all rural development works.
In addition, he emphasized on holding Gram Sabha in every Panchayat from 2nd October, 2018 under the slogan “Sab ki Yojana, Sab ka Vikas”. He said that it is a very good opportunity to involve population from grass root level in formulation of development plans for the Panchayat. He also directed the employees to remain sensitive to demands of people and address them at every level in time bound manner.
Among others, the event was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Shopian, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shopian, Assistant Commissioner Development Shopian, District Panchayat Officer, Block Development Officers and other concerned officers.
