Secy JK State Sports Council inaugurates cricket tourney for deaf and dumb

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 28: Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary today inaugurated a cricket tournament for deaf and dumb sportspersons organized by J&K State Sports Council in collaboration with J&K deaf and dumb association.

The tournament started at Polo ground Srinagar in which 5 teams from 5 districts including Jammu, Srinagar, Anantnag, Pulwama and Budgam are participating.

Chowdhary while inaugurating the tournament said, “the tournament will encourage others towards the sports and bring more into the field.”

He further added, “Our players have potential to compete at National and International levels for which sports council will be at the forefront in promoting the raw talent and providing them with a platform to excel,” said Dr Chowdhary.

Chief Sports Officer, SO (K) and other officials of the Sports Council were present on the occasion.
