Rajouri, Sep 6, Army Wednesday claimed that it foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and killed an intruder.
Official sources said that during wee hours an intruder was spotted and accordingly challenged. “The intruder opened fire on troops closing in and the Army retaliated effectively.”
In the exchange of fire, the intruder was killed and his body handed over to local police.
A police official said that the identity of the slain intruder has not been ascertained.
