DC Jammu reviews arrangements for Shri Krishan Janamashthami

JAMMU, AUGUST 27: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today reviewed arrangements for  Shri Krishan Janam Ashthami and Shoba Yatra at a meeting here at DC office.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Suraiya Jabeen, Joint Commissioner JMC, Pardeep Manhas, SP G L Sharma, CMO Jammu Sanjay Turki, Deputy Director J&K Fire and Emergency Services, RC Raina and other senior officers of the concerned departments besides representatives of VARIOUS religious organizations and trusts including Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Dharmarth Trust, Ramnagar Durga Mandir and Lakshmi Narayan Mandir.

The DC directed the concerned departments to ensure proper arrangements regarding security, sanitation, medical facilities, drinking water and other basic amenities for the smooth and successful culmination of the festival.

The DC directed the JMC to ensure cleanliness in and around the temples and at the route of the procession. He asked the PDD authorities to replace damaged street lights and install new street lights. The PHE authorities were directed to ensure that water tanks are provided at identified locations.

The DC further directed the R&B authorities to repair the dilapidated roads, if any, from where the procession would take place. Fire and Emergency Authorities were directed to remain prepared to deal with any eventuality.  He also directed the CMO Jammu to deploy an Ambulance and medical staff with first aid facility during the processions.

The representatives of religious organizations and trusts also submit the details of the areas where the services of district administration and police are required.
