Jammu, Aug, 16 |18 : ug, 16 |18 : National Panthers Party has expressed grief and pain on the sad demise of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee who led the nation as Prime Minister of India at home and one of the shining lights at international gatherings the world over. His speech in Hindi at the General Assembly of the United Nations shall remain a landmark in the history of India when its’ representative for the first time addressed the General Assemby in the national language of India, Hindi.
Prof. Bhim Singh while expressing his grief recollected his interaction with Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at several times in different situations in India and abroad. He joined the
Indian delegation to the United Nations International Conference at Vienna where Indian delegation led by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Prof. Bhim Singh said that Shri Vajpayee literally rescued him with many student leaders
including Mrs. Jay Mala from the police harassment when he with several other Youth Congress leaders was arrested at Parliament Street Police Station for allegedly obstructing the then Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s massive procession at Boat Club, New Delhi.
It was Vajpayee jee who stood up in Parliament to announce that Bhim Singh and Jay Mala had protected him from the stonepelting mob at the Boat Club. He got Bhim Singh and Jay Mala out of Police Station by his interventionat Parliament. Prof. Bhim Singh remembered that when some miscreants tried to obstruct a public meeting being addressed by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee as BJP President in Srinagar, Kashmir, he (Bhim Singh) along with other student and youth leaders jumped into the frey and expressed full support to Vajpayee jee to continue his speech. Vajpayee jee never
forgot that occasion.
Prof. Bhim Singh remembered that he and some other political leaders were invited by Prime Minister, Atal jee at his reception table in Srinagar when he gave lunch to the then Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed and others. Prof. Bhim Singh said that there were several occasions when he had an opportunity to interact and talk exclusively with one of the greatest leaders of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Shri Atal jee was, he said, one of the greatest leaders of India who had super wisdom, patience and human heart at all
the times for all irrespective of their caste, creed, religion even nationality. He was among the greatest leaders in the world who shall be remembered by all the people, all the times and everywhere in the world. “Humanity
is the greatest religion is the message which Vajpayee has left for all of us. This is how I salute
Vajpayee jee.”
