Leh, Sept 13: The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh today organized a laptop distribution ceremony for meritorious students of the Leh zone under the LAHDC Subsidy Scheme 2024. The event, held at Paras Hall, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Leh, saw the participation of meritorious students from the region, who were awarded laptops as a token of recognition for their academic excellence.

The Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchok, presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest. In his address, Angchok commended the students for their dedication and academic success. He urged them to utilize the laptops not only as a tool for their studies but also to further develop their skills in the digital age.

“These laptops will serve as a gateway to knowledge and opportunities beyond the classroom,” Angchok remarked, encouraging the students to embrace the possibilities of digital learning.

Hon’ble Executive Councillor of LAHDC, Stanzin Chosphel, attended as the Guest of Honour and echoed the importance of digital literacy in today’s educational landscape. He emphasized the need for students to be technologically adept, stating that in the modern world, proficiency in digital tools is essential for academic and professional success.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Deputy Chief Education Officer of Kharu. He praised LAHDC’s efforts in supporting the youth and fostering a strong educational foundation in Ladakh. The laptop distribution is part of LAHDC’s broader initiative to empower students in the region, promoting educational growth and technological advancement.

The LAHDC Subsidy Scheme 2024 continues to contribute significantly to the welfare of students in Ladakh, aiming to uplift the educational standards and provide the necessary resources for the youth to excel academically and professionally.
