Jammu, Sept 11: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone Anand Jain, IPS, conducted a key security review today at Bari Brahmana Railway Station in Samba. The visit was aimed at overseeing the arrival of Central Paramilitary Forces (CAPF) and State Armed Police Forces assigned for election duty in the region.

Accompanied by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police JKS Range, Shiv Kumar, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Vinay Kumar, JKSP, and SDPO Bari-Brahmana, among other officers, ADGP Jain engaged with the incoming CAPF personnel. The interaction was part of a broader effort to ensure effective coordination and preparedness ahead of the upcoming elections.

During his visit, ADGP Jain welcomed the arriving forces and provided them with briefings on the security arrangements in place. He emphasized the critical role these forces will play in maintaining peace and facilitating the smooth conduct of the electoral process.

The team also reviewed logistical arrangements, including accommodation, transportation, and operational needs, to ensure that the deployed personnel are well-supported and equipped for their duties. ADGP Jain assured the forces of full cooperation from local police to facilitate their stay and operational effectiveness throughout their deployment.
