Leh, Sept 11: The District Social Welfare Office, Leh, recently organized a vibrant and impactful Nukkad Natak (street play) and flash mob at the Main Market in Leh. This engaging event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote de-addiction efforts within the region.

The initiative is part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), a nationwide campaign striving for a drug-free India. By harnessing the power of performance arts, the event sought to connect with the community and encourage a supportive and drug-free environment.

The Nukkad Natak and flash mob delivered compelling messages about the risks of drug abuse and the crucial importance of seeking assistance for those struggling with addiction. The performances were designed to resonate deeply with the audience, providing both education and emotional support.

Thinlay Norboo, Manager of the District De-Addiction Center, Leh, emphasized the significance of the initiative. “We are committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by drug abuse,” Norboo stated. “Through this initiative, we aim to create a supportive environment for those seeking help and promote a healthier, drug-free lifestyle.”
