Kargil, Sept 08: The Zonal Level Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) Mela, a significant event under the NIPUN Bharat Mission, successfully concluded at the Multipurpose Hall of the Government Higher Secondary School Shargole. This vibrant event saw participation from 21 Middle and Primary Schools across the zone, showcasing a range of innovative and child-friendly teaching materials.

The Mela was judged by a distinguished panel comprising Skarma Junglay, Headmaster of High School Wakha; Mohd Mussa, Headmaster of High School Tacha; and Sonam Phuntsoq, Master at High School Khachay. Their assessment aimed to recognize and encourage the creativity and effectiveness of the TLMs presented.

ZEO Shargole, Akbar Ali Khan, opened the event with a traditional Khataq ceremony, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of all participants. Khan highlighted the enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated throughout the event and expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to foster innovative teaching practices in the region.

In his remarks, Skarma Junglay praised the teachers for their ingenuity in developing the TLMs. He encouraged the integration of these materials into everyday classroom settings to enhance educational quality. “The dedication of the teachers in creating these innovative TLMs reflects their commitment to improving student learning outcomes,” Junglay noted.

The competition concluded with Government Middle School Karith emerging as the top performer, securing the first position. Government Primary School Lotsum followed in second place, with Government Middle School Tingdo taking third. The jury awarded certificates and trophies to the leading schools, acknowledging their exceptional contributions. All participating schools were also commended for their efforts, underscoring the collective commitment to enhancing educational practices.
