Kargil, Sept 02: Executive Councillor for Education, Zakir Hussain, conducted a comprehensive visit today to several educational institutions in GM Pore, including Government Girls High School GM Pore, Government Middle School Gound Yokma, Government Primary School Gonma Horlam, and Government Middle School Gaskal. Accompanied by the GM Pore Councillor, Deputy CEO, and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Sankoo, Hussain’s visit was aimed at assessing and addressing various educational and infrastructural concerns in the region.
During his visit, EC Hussain engaged directly with students, taking the opportunity to discuss their academic progress and residential class preparations. He also addressed concerns raised by the Village Education Committee, ensuring that their voices were heard and acted upon.
At Government Middle School Gound Yokma, Hussain specifically instructed ZEO Sankoo to address and take immediate action on the issues highlighted during the visit. Recognizing the harsh winter conditions in the region, the EC emphasized the need for winter-friendly school buildings and directed the authorities to expedite the solarization of school structures.
In addition to infrastructure improvements, Hussain assured that issues related to electric poles, toilet facilities, water supply, and compound walling would be resolved promptly. To further support educational advancements, he encouraged the Council to adopt a model school within the area. This initiative aims to create a focal point for enhancing educational facilities and fostering academic growth among students.
Hussain’s proactive approach and commitment to addressing educational needs underscore the ongoing efforts to improve learning environments and support students in Kargil.
