Leh, Sept 01: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson led a delegation comprising of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ladakh President Phunchok Stanzin and District President Leh, Tashi Gyaltsan Kachu to Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) B D Mishra (Retd).
The delegation expressed their heartfelt gratitude for LG Mishra’s steadfast support in establishing five new district’s within the Union Territory of Ladakh, even as they discussed a number of issues related to the region.
“Chairman Advocate Tashi Gyalson and the delegation requested for early formation of a committee to do comprehensive study to assess various aspects related to the formation of these new districts,” a statement said.
They also discussed the issue and demand raised by the local residents for the creation of Suru-Sankoo Sub Division as District.
Additionally, the CEC discussed with the Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh for his visit to all the newly created districts as desired.
